Jepun
Just 15 minutes by boat from Candidasa, on the western side of Amuk Bay, lies a deliberately sunk steel fishing boat.
The lack of currents and a maximum depth of around 20 meters make it a very easy dive.
The wreck rests almost vertically at 19 meters on a sandy bottom. Coral farms made of metal structures extend from the bow to the lower area, home to many fish and crustaceans.
After exploring the installation, we reach a shallow reef where we make our safety stop while observing its inhabitants.
Turtle Neck
One of the most iconic sites in Padang Bay, known for its peaceful beauty and for offering something special to divers of all levels.
It is common to encounter green or hawksbill turtles resting or swimming among the corals, along with a wide variety of macro life.
The wall is covered with hard and soft corals, sponges and sea fans. Visibility is usually excellent and currents are mild, making it a relaxed and safe dive.
Blue Lagoon
Blue Lagoon is a small bay just north of Padang Bai harbor. It is one of the most popular sites for beginners and for those seeking a calm, colorful dive.
The sandy bottom with coral patches hides moray eels, scorpionfish and nudibranchs.
The maximum depth is around 20 meters, ideal for long, relaxed dives with a safety stop surrounded by vibrant marine life.
Bias Tugal
Another bay west of the harbor. In our opinion, it is the best dive site Padang Bai has to offer.
Here we have a great chance to spot turtles, octopus, trevallies, fusiliers, snappers and sometimes white‑tip sharks and rays.
During the dive we encounter a huge pinnacle covered in corals and sponges, with schools of glassfish and some lobsters.
